1.The heart muscle performs relaxation and contraction and does its job of pumping blood by relaxing and contracting. If the cardiac muscle does not get enough blood, the person can have a heart attack due to no blood supply and oxygen. 2.Blood enters the heart from the vena cava into the right atrium and enters the right ventricle. The de-oxygenated blood moves from pulmonary arteries to the lungs. And from there, oxygenated blood enters the left atrium from pulmonary veins. The blood then goes into the left ventricles, and the left ventricle pumps the blood into the body through artires. Aunt May's weakness and shortness of breath during her sudden attack due to the blood going back to lungs as mitral valves ensuring no backflow of blood were remained open and cause such a situation.
